Schreder Planetarium and Shasta Astronomy Club offer activities.	Visitors enjoy the shade of an old growth oak tree.	Children AND adults enjoy this celebration of the sun.
Solar scopes offer amazing views of the sun.	I can see it! I can see the solar flare!	The Redding Astronomy Club assists visitors with the solar scopes.
Activities teach children about the solar system.	A man points to the shadow on the dial plate.	The giant shadow of the gnomen makes a nice place to get out of the sun!
Kazango Jazz entertains the crowd.	Everyone loved the music, and the special effects were cool too!	Children dance to the music by Kazango Jazz.
People stop briefly to listen and learn about sundials.	GEMS instructors provide instruction about sundials as well as a countdown to Noon.	Everyone watches excitedly as the shadow approaches the Noon marker.
The gnomen of the Sundial drawfs the booths in the foreground.	Face painting was a popular children's activity.	The Astronomy Club offers another opportunity to learn about the sun.
